Government Participation and Development Initiatives

Shalom Education and Charitable Society is a registered non-profit organization based in Tuli, Mokokchung District, Nagaland. The Society is actively engaged in community development, education upliftment, and social welfare initiatives in collaboration with various government departments and ministries to drive sustainable development in the region.

Key Government Collaborations and Initiatives

  1. Coordination with the Office of the Local MLA / DC Mokokchung / ADC / SDO (Civil), Tuli
    Planning and implementation across Tuli Sub-Division and Mokokchung District (extendable across Nagaland)
    The Society works closely with local administration and elected representatives to plan and execute projects that improve local infrastructure, education, and social welfare programs—initially within Tuli Sub-Division and Mokokchung District, with scope to extend across Nagaland.
  2. Upgradation of Tuli Stadium
    Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India
    A proposal has been submitted in collaboration with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for the upgradation of Tuli Stadium to promote sports, youth engagement, and tribal talent development—establishing a regional sports hub for rural and tribal youth in Mokokchung District.
  3. Bridge and Road Connectivity Projects
    Multi-village connectivity under Tuli area
    Advocating for construction of bridges and upgradation of rural road networks connecting multiple villages under Tuli area to ensure all-weather connectivity, enhance accessibility, and expand economic opportunities for rural communities.
  4. Railway Broad-Gauge Line Extension
    Ministry of Railways, Government of India
    In coordination with the Ministry of Railways, a request has been placed for the extension of the Broad-Gauge Railway Line from Tuli Station to Tuli Town. This strategic connectivity is set to boost trade, tourism, and inter-village mobility across the region.
  5. Upgradation of Tuli College to Model College
    Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India
    In partnership with local authorities and central ministry funding, the Society is pursuing the upgradation of Tuli College into a Model College—enhancing higher education infrastructure and ensuring quality academic facilities for students from rural and tribal backgrounds.
